Jashpur. The Jashpur police in Chhattisgarh have taken major action against drug dealers. Police have seized marijuana worth over 1 crore rupees from a pickup truck, which was being transported to Odisha hidden among mango trays. A smuggler has also been arrested. This entire incident occurred in the Dokra outpost area under the Kansabel police station.
Under the leadership of DIG and Senior Superintendent of Police, Jashpur, Dr. Lal Umed Singh, a special campaign against drug dealers, Operation Trahaat, is being conducted. Under this initiative, Jashpur police are continuously taking action against drug dealers. In this connection, an accused was arrested with more than two quintals of marijuana from a pickup vehicle in the Dokra outpost area.
In fact, on May 12th, the police received information from an informant that marijuana was being smuggled in a white pickup truck. Following this, the team set up a blockade near Deori village. Seeing the police blockade, the smuggler tried to flee with the vehicle, but the police apprehended him near the Bagiya Dokra main road.
