New Delhi: The IMD has issued a red alert for Chhattisgarh predicting heavy to very heavy rainfall in the state for the next 24 hours. As per the statistics issued by the state Revenue and Disaster Management Dept, the central state in India has recorded an average rainfall of 459.0mm since June 1, 2022. Bijapur amongst all districts has received the highest average of 1156.9 mm with Balrampur recording only 152.3mm.
Districts like Dhamtari, Gariaband, Kanker, Kondagaaon, Narayanpur, Bastar, Bijapur, and Dantewada are predicted to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall. Thunderstorms and heavy rains are predicted in Durg, Balod, Bematra, Kabhirdham, Rajnandangaon, Raipur, Balodabazar, and Bilaspur.
