Raipur: The High Court rejected the interim bail plea of suspended IPS officer GP Singh. GP Singh has made repeated attempts for bail claiming he wasn’t given a chance for proving his innocence.
During the hearing, GP Singh’s lawyer argued that his client was accused in a fabricated case. The HC in the previous hearing had instructed the petitioner to produce the case diary recovered by EOW during the raid held at the locations under the authorization of GP Singh.
Singh was detained by EOW officials in Noida on January 11th. The following day he was brought to Raipur for a hearing at the sessions court which pronouncing the order extended his judicial custody.
The EOW had raided premises under the former ADG in July. Officials recovered a case diary that indicated conspiracy against the govt and documents that hinted possession of disproportionate assets.
