Raipur: Good news for farmers as the Ministry of Agriculture, Farmer Welfare, and Biotechnology has issued an order to release a pending bonus of two years on December 25. The distribution of the amount will coincide with National Good Governance Day.
The promise of providing a two-year pending bonus to farmers was initially made by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in its manifesto. According to the government’s announcement, farmers will receive a bonus for paddy production in the fiscal years 2014-15 and 2015-16. The payment will be based on a rate of 300 rupees per quintal.
In detail, for the fiscal year 2014-15, a substantial payment of 1,912,9766 crore rupees will be disbursed. Additionally, for the fiscal year 2015-16, a bonus amounting to 1,803,4131 crore rupees will be distributed among the farmers.
