Gariyaband District Collector Deepak Agrawal is in action mode regarding education and health. In the wake of continuous administrative issues in the district, regular inspections have been ongoing. Today, an impromptu inspection was conducted at the Churra’s Ekalavya Residential School. He even had an inspection in the Hostel.
Collector Agrawal personally visited the residential school, inspecting the facilities related to accommodation, education, and more for the children. He gathered information about the students’ attendance, staff presence registry, and stock records from the staff. Additionally, he conducted an overview of the arrangements made for practical sessions in the physics, chemistry, and biology labs.
During the inspection, the Collector visited all the classrooms of the residential school, assessing the arrangements. He took note of the children’s presence, staff attendance records, and stock registry. Furthermore, he inspected the storeroom designed for storing ration supplies in the hostel.
Collector Agrawal also examined the cleanliness arrangements, including bedding, mattresses, beds, fans, lights, and the filtered water system in the residential school. Expressing dissatisfaction with the lack of cleanliness, scattered waste, and non-functional water filters, he expressed strong displeasure.
Additionally, the Collector expressed disappointment over the inadequate maintenance of food supplies in the storeroom and disorganized management of items. The principal of the residential school was conspicuously absent without prior notice during the inspection. Expressing dissatisfaction with the Principal’s absence and the significant disorder found in the residential school, Collector Agrawal issued a notice demanding an explanation from the Principal and Superintendent.
Furthermore, the Collector visited the children’s hostel, inspecting the storeroom and gathering information about necessary arrangements. In response to the lapse observed, he directed the female superintendent to provide a written explanation for her unannounced absence.
Collector Agrawal emphasized the need for necessary improvements in the hostel’s arrangements to ensure better accommodation and education for the students. He warned of strict actions against those responsible for not implementing essential improvements in the hostel facilities.
During this visit, Additional Collector Avinash Bhoy and other officials were also present. The Collector, in his stern approach, aims to bring essential improvements to the arrangements in the hostel for the welfare of the students.
