Raipur: CM Bhupesh Baghel today released a remuneration of Rs 10.24 crore to farmers rearing cattle’s and women associated with Godhan Committee under the Godhan Nyay Yojana. According to sources, this fund was released in lieu of the cow dung procured from January 16th to February 15th. Out of the total, Godhan Committee was paid Rs 1.88 crore and Women SHG was issued Rs 2.75 Lakh.
During the cabinet meeting, an MoU was signed between the Director of Horticulture and Field forestry and Shri Ganesh global private limited for the production of organic gulal and puja material through women’s self-help groups in the Godhan.
The first phase of the project would involve 10 gauthans in Raipur and Durg to prepare organic Gulal and Puja Samagri. Nearly 150 Women from the SHG from both the districts would be linked to the Godhans for the production. Amongst the Puja Samagri, sandalwood powder, cotton lights, kumkum, roli, havan would be made. CM Baghel also launched ‘Arth’ an integrated brand made by Women SHG’s using various types of natural products.
