Chhattisgarh: More than 39 thousand migrant workers of Chhattisgarh have been stuck in other states because of corona pandemic and lockdown. Among these, 26,505 labourers have been officially confirmed. Most of the labourers are stranded in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. Most of these workers are from Kabirdham and mungeli district.
Apart from residing and eating arrangement of these labourers, officials are maintaining constant touch with the official’s concerned states regarding their health facilities.
The migrant worker from other states is also stuck in Chhatisgarh. And Chhattisgarh government is making sure about all necessary arrangements for them. Urban Administration Minister Dr Shiv Dahria is also in constant touch with the Central Government and all other states officials. The State Nodal Officer and Department of Labor Secretary Sonamani Bora are continuously monitoring the arrangements with the officers of the respective states.
These maximum number of migrant workers is from Kabir Dham district which is 4,667 and 4,105 labourers from Mungeli. 3,932 workers of Baloda Bazar and 3696 workers of Rajnandgaon is also stranded in other states.
Chhattisgarh has reported 30 positive cases till date in which 10 are already cured and 20 are being treated in AIIMS, Raipur.
