Corona update: Chhattisgarh reported 360 cases and 5 deaths in the last 24 hours; tally nears 13,000

Raipur: Chhattisgarh reported another surge in new cases with 360 caseload in the last 24 hours. The state has also breached the mark of 100 deaths on Tuesday, recording 5 deaths in a day.

Out of 360 COVID-19 cases , highest recorded from Raipur with 105 cases, 59 from Durg, 28 from Raigarh, 18 from Rajnandgaon, 17 from Bilaspur, 15 from Kondagaon, 14 from Dantewada, 12 from Kanker among others.

With this, the total tally of Coronavirus cases in Chhattisgarh reached to 12,985. The total number of active cases has rose to 3,642 While 104 people have been succumbed to the disease.

The element that is the silver lining is the increasing number of recovered cases in Chhattisgarh. On Tuesday, 222 people recovered from the virus, taking the count to 9,339 in the state.

Just like other states, Chhattisgarh has also ramped up their testing capacity. Earlier, 3000 daily tests were being conducted which has now surged to 7000. The total tests has been conducted spurt to 3,88,852.
