Chhattisgarh: Considering the growing danger of corona in the country, wearing of masks has now been made mandatory in Chhattisgarh. The state government has issued an order that if anybody comes out on the streets without wearing a mask, then they can also be arrested.


According to implemented order under the Chhattisgarh Public Health Act, it has been made necessary to wear a mask or face cover while leaving for any public places. For this, the triple-layer mask is easily available in the market which can be used. If a market mask is not available at the time, then home-made three-layer face cover mask can be made. In case the face cover mask is not available, then handkerchief, the scarf can also be used. The face cover or mask should be such that the nose and mouth are completely covered.


The government has said in its order that going out of the house without masks to the public places then any legal action can be taken against an individual, considering the violation of the Epidemic Act 1897 and Chhattisgarh Epidemic Diseases COVID-19 Regulations 2020 and Section 71 (1) of the Chhattisgarh Public Health Act 1949. Earlier, wearing of masks was also made compulsory in many states like Delhi, Odisha. And no mask no fuel campaign is also being run in Odisha by Odisha government.


Delhi government has already imposed compulsion on wearing a mask.Recently the the the the Delhi government has also made it compulsory for people to wear face masks when stepping outdoors to combat the coronavirus spread.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal stated that “Wearing of facial masks can reduce the spread of coronavirus substantially.Therefore, it has been decided that facial masks will be compulsory for anyone stepping out of their house. Cloth mask shall be eligible too,” he tweeted.
