Raipur: Authorities began gearing up on Saturday to launch a screening campaign”COVID-19 Survey” covering all households in Chhattisgarh’ capital to check people for signs of Covid-19, with the data collectively gathered from medical shops as well as health department.
In all, 5 departments, namely District administration, municipal corporation Raipur, Health department, department of women and children development and education department officers and workers has constituted a team to run this campaign on an extensive level to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus.
With the spike in the number of Covid-19 cases in Chhattisgarh, especially in the state’s capital, the officials decided to launch door-to-door screening of people. The health teams will visit every household under a special surveillance plan which roll out on Saturday.
More than 2000 officers and workers are involved in the survey for the household screening.
This survey will extract data on different diseases in four categories. Moreover, Engineer level workers will be collecting data about how many medicines are sold and how many people have purchased medicine for viral diseases like cough and cold in the next 15 days in the capital city, official informed.
Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh has reported over 2500 cases of coronavirus. the number of coronavirus fatalities in the state rose to 13. Meanwhile, 1,885 people have been cured and discharged from the hospital.
