Raipur: The number of COVID-19 cases in Raipur increased to 256 after 11 more people tested positive on Friday, a health official said.

According to the health official, Of the 11 cases, 3 are from AIIMS Raipur itself and 8 others are from different areas of the capital city. More details awaited.

With this, the total tally of coronavirus patients in the capital is 256. However, 150 people have already been discharged after recovery in Raipur.

Currently, the number of active cases in the city is 105, out of which, 21 patients have a history of traveling from abroad or nearby states.History of 21 patients returning from abroad out of 105 active patients.

Notable, the state Assembly secretariat has been shut from June 24 till June 28 after a Congress MLA, who had chaired a meeting in the assembly premises on Monday, tested positive for the virus.

Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh government has allowed restaurants, shopping malls, hotels, clubs to re-open from Today.
