Balod: In the NEET-UG 2024 examination, the Balod district of Chhattisgarh witnessed a horrible incident when incorrect question papers during the distribution were reported. In that charge, a team of the leading force from the Congress party came in person to the Raj Bhawan, demanding an investigation into the scandals. The Congress cadre held a dialogue with the Governor by virtue of which the Governor had to take appropriate actions on the student’s complaints and the neglect witnessed during the examination.
The dispute concerns two centers’ distribution of examinations in Balod district the greatest medical entrance examination conducted on May 5th is known as NEET. In the exam room, it transpired that out of the total of 391 candidates taking the test, some people were given incorrect question papers. At the end of 45 minutes it was realized that s the wrong copies were given to the students, and new set of examination materials were provided to them. Though it is noteworthy that such a large accident occurs and the students are not provided with compensation time, the class didn’t get any extra time for that.
Following this major lapse in procedure, relatives of the students protested vehemently, highlighting the damages incurred by the students due to the negligence. Subsequently, the Congress delegation submitted a memorandum at the Raj Bhavan, addressing the concerns of the affected students. During their meeting with the Governor, the Congress representatives, including Malkit Singh Gaindu, the party’s in-charge Minister, Balod MLA Sangita Sinha, Shailesh Nitin Trivedi, and spokesperson Vikas Tiwari, discussed the demands of the affected students.
The delegation insisted on an elaborate probe of the incident and recommended finding a proper string of events for when the grievances of the students will be addressed. They highlighted the significance of having a fair exam experience that guarantees the students and members of their families the credibility of the education system. The incident poses a number of challenging questions, such as the exam management and authorities’ readiness to handle the situations or other unforeseen events.
