Raipur: Amidst the anticipation for a new Chief Minister in Chhattisgarh, Congress candidate Sandeep Sahu, who secured victory in the Kasdol constituency, has expressed his desire for BJP State President Arun Saw to be appointed as the Chief Minister. Despite implementing various schemes, newly-elected MLA Sandeep Sahu acknowledged the need to review the reasons behind Congress’s defeat and mentioned the dissatisfaction among farmers with the decisions taken during the previous five years under Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.
Reflecting on Baghel’s tenure, Sahu pointed out that while the Chief Minister worked for the welfare of the poor and farmers, there is discontent among the farming community. Sahu expressed his commitment to evaluating the reasons behind the Congress’s setback, particularly in addressing the concerns of the marginalized.
In the midst of discussions about the potential Chief Minister, Sandeep Sahu highlighted his wish for Arun Saw to take on the role. He criticized the delay within the BJP in selecting a Chief Minister, attributing it to internal discord. According to Sahu, the BJP, under Arun Saw’s leadership, faced delays in decision-making due to a lack of unity within the party.
Responding to questions about the ambitious schemes initiated by the Congress, Sahu criticized the BJP, accusing them of engaging in politics under the guise of religion. He emphasized that Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel successfully implemented the Gauthan Nyay Yojana nationwide, benefiting many by providing employment opportunities and promoting cow protection.
Sahu called for the BJP to learn from such initiatives and focus on constructive work. He urged the party to move beyond divisive politics and prioritize the welfare of the people. In addressing the challenges raised against Congress’s ambitious programs, Sahu defended Baghel’s administration, portraying him as a true ‘Gau Sevak’ (cow servant) for effectively executing the Gauthan Nyay Yojana.
As the political landscape in Chhattisgarh unfolds, with discussions surrounding the next Chief Minister, Sandeep Sahu’s statements shed light on the internal dynamics within both Congress and BJP, shaping the narrative of governance and leadership in the state.
