Raipur: As the COVID curve declined in the state, the Higher Education Dept issued fresh notices to colleges and universities informing 100 per cent attendance mandate for academic and non-academic staff. The notice permitted learning institutes in districts with infectivity rates at 4 per cent to conduct physical classes.

Schools across the nation were shut down as the third wave of pandemic recorded a dramatic surge. Permission to resume offline classes in schools came from February 1st. Students from classes 1 to 12th were permitted to attend schools. However, school authorities were directed to keep COVID norms in place and instruct students to abide by the norms.

As per the official data, 18,686 active cases have been recorded in the state. In the past 24 hours, a decline by 1395 was reported. 11,03,835 recuperations have been documented by the state health bulletin so far. The death toll of the state stood at 13,914.
