Raipur: Unemployed young people in Chhattisgarh have a reason to celebrate as Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel is all set to distribute the installment of unemployment benefits today. In an event held at CM House, a significant amount of Rs 31.71 crore will be transferred to the bank accounts of deserving individuals. This initiative is expected to benefit a number of 122,625 youths across the state. It’s worth noting that the Bhupesh Government has already provided a sum of Rs 80.72 crore in installments to support those without jobs.

In addition to providing unemployment benefits, the Chhattisgarh Government, under CM Bhupesh’s leadership, is actively focused on enhancing the skills and training opportunities for people. The government is conducting screenings to identify candidates for skill development programs. Currently, 4,228 youths have already started their training and another 1,791 individuals are scheduled to begin their skill training 

With today’s distribution of Rs 31.71 crore as unemployment benefits, CM Baghel’s government will have contributed a amount of Rs 112.31 crore towards supporting and empowering the youth of the state during these challenging times.

In Chhattisgarh young individuals who meet criteria can receive an unemployment allowance of Rs 2,500 starting from April 2023. This program aims to assist youth from families with an income, below Rs 2.5 lakh. To be eligible applicants must be residents of Chhattisgarh have no source of income and fall between the ages of 18 and 35. Additionally they should have completed at the grade from a recognized educational board.
