Raipur: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel gave instructions to CS Amitabh Jain to move forward the process of regularization of irregular, contractual, and daily salaried employees of the state. After the cabinet meeting, the movement in the ministry has been intensified. The state’s first deputy chief minister TS Singhdeo has confirmed the discussion for the same.

Worker’s unions too have become active and have started taking opinions from the legalists on his behalf. Staff leaders believe that they themselves know that regularization of all is not possible as per law and only the appointment letter holders shall get the benefit of the same.

There are about 88000 contractual, irregular, and daily workers in the state. There is no problem is the regularization of about 50000 employees working through advertisement and direct recruitment. Apart from these, 36-37 thousand employees will be left. There is no rule to regulate them. Since 1998, such daily workers are being hired daily. Daily wage earners, contingency, and work-charged are given appointment letters by the name of the post.

About 48000 such daily wage earners are being given dearness allowance by including in the permanent workers scheme. In Chhattisgarh too, considering this iption to regularize the daily wage workers working in third and fourth class.
