Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh: In Bilaspur, the case of the broad daylight shooting of Congress Leader Sanju Tripathi has not settled yet and another gruesome killing occurred again! A youth killed the principal of the Higher Secondary School, Pachpedi on Thursday night.
The youth suspected that the principal was having an illicit relationship with his girlfriend. Due to this suspicion, he planned the murder and entered the house, and hit the principal four times with a hammer on his head. Even after this, the young man felt that he had not died, then he slammed a pot on his head and while leaving, slit his throat with a blade. The case is of the Tarbahar police station area.
Pradeep Srivastava (62), a resident of Yash Bank Wali Gali, Link Road, Nirala Nagar, was working as the principal of Higher Secondary School, Pachpedi. His wife Anita Srivastava is also the principal of Tifra’s Parsada High School. Both husband and wife lived in the house and their two children study outside the city. His wife was on the upper floor of the house on Thursday night.
At that time Pradeep Srivastava was near the porch when the youth attacked him on the head. Deepak Aggarwal’s mother and brother who were living in front came out after hearing the sound of a dispute. But, by then the assailant had fled and Pradeep Srivastava was lying in a pool of blood on the porch.
After this incident of murder, the police interrogated the people around and started searching for the killer. During this, it was found that there is a walled road behind Pradeep Srivastava’s house. The neighbors said that the attacker youth had come from the back way and escaped from the same way after the murder.
Meanwhile, the police were searching for the accused when a youth Upendra Kaushik (24), living in Jorapara of Sarkanda, reached Tarbahar police station to surrender. Seeing him, the police could not believe at first that he was the accused. The youth is basically a resident of Hardikala of the Sirgitti region and used to work in PTM while living in Sarkanda.
The accused said that he suspected that the principal had an illegal relationship with his girlfriend. He was friends with a 20-year-old girl studying in CMD College. Both love each other. When Pradeep Srivastava was posted in the Janjgir-Champa district, he used to teach the girl. Because of this, his family members made him the local guardian. Upendra suspected that the principal was having an illicit relationship with his girlfriend. Due to this doubt, he was under mental stress for three days. On Thursday evening, he planned to kill the principal.
