RAIPUR: On the occasion of Chhattisgarhi Official Language Day on November 28, CM Bhupesh Baghel congratulated and greeted the people of the state at Charcha-gosthi program held 11AM in auditorium of Mahant Ghasidas Museum situated within the capital Raipur.
Interacting with the audience at Baghel in Hindi said- छत्तीसगढ़ी भाखा हमर पुरखौती आए, ये हर हमर अभिमान हे। नवा सरकार बने के बाद ले छत्तीसगढ़ के इही अभिमान ला संजोए अउ आगू बढ़ाए बर हमन काम करत हन। ’जतका मान हमन ला अपन छत्तीसगढ़ महतारी उपर हे ओतके हमर मातृ भासा छत्तीसगढ़ी बर घलो होना चाही। छत्तीसगढ़ी भाखा ला हमन आत्म गौरव संग जोड़के देखबो तभे वो आघू बढ़ही”. Chhattisgarhi language is the contemporary of Hindi, Awadhi and Brij language.
A felicitation ceremony was also organized by the state Culture Department on the ocassion of Rajbhasha Diwas. Baghel is also scheduled to attend a program in Durg and return to the capital by 4:00PM today.
Earlier, in the day Baghel took to Twitter to greet people.
He also extended tributes to social reformer, Mahatma Jyothiba Phule on his death anniversary.
It was in 2007, Chhattisgarhi was recognized as a State Language in the Vidhan Sabha.
