RAIGARH: Two girls died and four were injured after a speeding dumper truck ran over them in CGs Sarangarh-Bhilaigarh district on Sunday.
The incident took place near the Bataupali village on the Sarangarh-Saraipali road when they were going for a bath in a pond. As per sources, the overspeeding truck hit them and escaped.
The deceased are identified as Kavita (10) and Anju Sidar (15) while Rakhi Sidar (10) sustained serious injuries and was referred to the Raigarh medical college for treatment. The three others sustained minor injuries and were discharged earlier.
A case has been filed and a search has been initiated against the unidentified absconding truck driver.
