Madhya Pradesh: Speaking in context of the stone pelting incident at St Joseph School in Ganj Basoda town of Vidisha district, Home Minister Narottam Singh informed that investigations were under process with dentention of four so far.
During a press conference on Tuesday , he pressed on action being taken against the right-wing group Bajrang Dal which initiated the attack.
A Christian Missionary school in MP was attacked by members of the right-wing Bajrang Dal on Monday, where the students of Class 12 were appearing for a mathematics exam.The school was targetted after allegations on social media surfaced claiming religious authorities pressed eight students to change their religion. Clippings on the social media featured huge crowd outside the building, raising slogans against the school administration, while the staff and students try to flee the building.
The manager of the school, Brother Antony, accused the police of improper security arrangements as he claims to have alerted the security personnel well in advance after he received a tip about the attack. Further, he also denied the claims of religious conversion, stating that none of the names mentioned in the complaint matches with any of the students.
Following the incident, security arrangements have been beefed up at other missionary schools and a team has been engaged to probe thr vanadalism while school management has also been called for interrogation in alleged religious conversion, Roshan Rai, the Sub-Divisional magistrate said.
