Bhopal- The Madhya Pradesh police have arrested three individuals, and the local administration partially demolished their residences following allegations of subjecting a 24-year-old man to humiliation. Vijay Ramchandani came forward with shocking evidence that depicts him enduring cruel treatment at the hands of some individuals yet to be prosecuted by law enforcement personnel. Distressing footage featuring Mr. Ramchandani displays him on all fours barking like an animal while restrained by something restraining him by its grip around his neck, much akin to how dogs are kept on leashes. Frustrations expressed in both voice and tone convey disappointment towards inaction from authorities thus far, as if justice remains elusive despite clear evidence.
Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra swiftly ordered the Bhopal Police Commissioner to investigate the matter and take appropriate action within 24 hours after the video surfaced. Mishra strongly condemned the behavior shown in the footage and vowed to eradicate such a mentality. The police managed to apprehend three of the accused within a few hours.
The suspects include Sajid, Bilal Tila, Faizan Lala, Sahil Bachha, Mohammad Sameer Tila, and Mufeed Khan. An FIR has been registered against all six accused.
Vijay Ramchandani, who used to reside with the accused, narrated his ordeal and mentioned his frequent disputes with them, including derogatory comments on social media. On May 9, after attending a wedding, the accused allegedly abducted Ramchandani assaulted him and subjected him to a degrading act. Ramchandani’s attempts to file a police complaint were unsuccessful until he obtained the video from the accused, who extorted money from him.
The three accused, Sahil, Sameer, and Mufeed, have been remanded in judicial custody, and authorities are considering invoking the National Security Act (NSA) against them. The local administration took prompt action by demolishing illegal encroachments at three locations connected to the accused. The incident has garnered significant attention after the video went viral on social media.
