Indore: Seven-year-old Aura Ankur Kulin from Indore has become the pride of Madhya Pradesh and India with her commendable achievements in the realm of spelling. Representing her school, Elite, Aura has engraved her name in the annals of linguistic prowess by clinching notable positions in national and international arenas.
In the ISB Spelling Bee International 2022-23 Grand Finale, Aura demonstrated extraordinary command over words and secured an impressive second position. This grand event, conducted virtually, attracted participants from over 25 countries, each navigating through three challenging stages to aim for the top title. Moreover, marking her consistency in the field, Aura was crowned the ISB National Champion for the second year in a row, reinforcing her status as the Wonder Girl of Indore.
Her accomplishments in the national championship, which saw her outshine participants from premier schools across India, speak volumes about her dedication and adeptness in mastering the language. For the second year running, the India Spelling Bee recognized Aura’s exceptional abilities, naming her the national champion for 2022-23.
The ISB International Spelling Bee followed a rigorous three-tier competition structure: the preliminary, national, and international rounds. On April 1, 2023, the first level witnessed participants from 25 countries. Of them, 10 standout spellers advanced to the second level on July 1, 2023. The climax was the grand finale on August 5, where the top five faced off. Aura’s phenomenal performance to achieve second place in this intense competition magnified her reputation and brought immense pride to her city of Indore.
