HYDERABAD: The MP Anti-terror Squad seized discriminating documents and equipment from Hyderabad in connection to the Hizb ut-Tahrir (HuT) members. A team of MPATS on its visit to Hyderabad arrested five who are under police remand until May 19, officials said.

‘The team was sent to Telangana which seized important documents and equipment hidden in secret places. The police conducted raids and have found many incriminating documents, said IG ATS Anurag Kumar interacting with the reporters.

It was further learned that the suspected terrorists used code language to communicate. Investigation revealed, the accused used Whats App and Telegram besides Zoom to exchange information. Apart from technical devices like laptops, mobile phones and other digital equipment, guns, knives and swords were also seized officials said disclosing about seizures.

On May 9th, MPATS had arrested 11 members associated with HuT from two different districts. The ATS team arrested 10 members of HuT from Bhopal and one member from Chhindwara district. Five othes were arrested from Telangana.
