MANDLA, MP: Tigress T27 in the Kanha national park has given birth to five cubs said KTR officials on Tuesday. The tigress was first spotted with the cubs on Saturday in Mukki zone of the reserve in Mandla district, KTR’s field director S K Singh added.
According to KTR’s senior wildlife veterinarian Sandeep Agrawal, the tigress might have given birth to the cubs in November last year. As per his observation, the cubs will be three months old.
On Saturday, visitors expressed joy on seeing the big cat- popularly known as DJ with her offspring.
Earlier, in January, T4- a tigress is Pench Reserve was spotted with her cubs. Patdev- daughter of Supermom ‘Collarwali’ was spotted by visitors and some officials during a safari tour. The tigress has so far given birth to 20 cubs in five litters since 2014.
Madhya Pradesh has a number of tiger reserves, including Kanha, Bandhavgarh, Pench, Satpura and Panna.
