Bhopal: A NIA special court in Bhopal sent the four PFI members arrested from Ujjain and Indore remanded in the custody of MP ATS till September 30th. The members of PFI were produced before the special court amid tight security arrangements and had also undergone routine health check-up.
As per reports, the ATA has sought custody based on bank transactions of the accused along with the incriminating documents that were seized from their possession. Senior Advocate Athar Ali appeared for the accused. After hearing both side, Special judge Raghuveer Prasad Patel ordered the four accused to be remanded. NIA can take them to Delhi by seeking transit remand he said.
A charge sheet was filed on Thursday against the four under the Prevention of Unlawful Activities Act. The four accused included PFI state president Abdul Kalam Bakeriwala, General Secretary Abdul Khalid, treasurer Md Javed and secretary Jameel Shiekh.
