BHOPAL: In view of the icy winds from the North, the collectors of Bhind, Morena, and Shivpuri including Gwalior declared school holidays in the district for classes 1-5. As per the notice, schools will remain shut till Januray7th.

Giving details, the Gwalior collector on Tuesday said that all govt and private schools should call off classes for grades 1- 5.

Meanwhile, the secondary and higher secondary grades began their classes by 10 AM from today onwwards. Until further notice the said order is said to be in place, officials said.

On Tuesday, the Bhopal collector on instructions of the District in-charge and UAD Minister passed an order directing schools to change their timings. As per the order, the schools will now begin from 9:30 AM instead of 8:30.

The IMD earlier today issued a cold wave alert in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Himachal and UP.
