On the day of Janmashtami, ISKCON Temple in Vrindavan situated in Uttar Pradesh had been sealed after 22 people tested positive for COVID-19 which included priests of the temple. Officials said that movement of people has now completely restricted and the temple is sealed.

According to the report, the officials of the health department had accumulated the samples of 165 people who were staying in the residential intricate of the temple after two denizens were found positive. Out of 165, 22 people have been found to be infected from the COVID-19 virus.

ISKCON leader Bhakti Charu Swami passed away in Florida (USA) due to coronavirus on July 4. The report additionally states that his last rites took place in West Bengal. 

On this auspicious occasion of birthday of Lord Krishna, Vrindavan’s Chandrodaya Temple was planning to do a virtual tour of the city as per the reports and because visit to the temples have been restricted due to Coronavirus.

Janmashtami means a special day which symbolizes the birth of Lord Krishna who is known to be the 8th avatar of Lord Vishnu. In this year 2020, Janmashtami celebrations will commence from  August 11 and people are liable to celebrate it the next day additionally.
