Dumka: Tribal death in Jharkhand have been mounting over the days. The sub capital Dumka reported another the hanging of another minor on Wednesday. Sources confirmed the body of a 17-year-old was found hanging on a tree in the city known for rapes and murders.
The incident took place at a village in Dumka town police station area. The victim, a 10 grade student reportedly lived in a rented house in the village with his grandmother and siblings, Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Noor Mustafa Ansari said. The case being investigated whether he died by suicide or he was killed, she said.
Last week, a 14-year-old tribal girl was killed and hanged from a tree in Mufassil police station area of the district. The girl was sexually exploited on the pretext of marriage and was later killed.
