Kolkata: At a historical gathering of the BJP Legislature Party, Union Home Minister Amit Shah declared the official appointment of Suvendu Adhikari as the future Chief Minister of West Bengal. Agnimitra Paul and Nisith Pramanik, both backing the new leadership, will act as the Deputy Chief Ministers of the state. Amit Shah posted a LIVE video from West Bengal Legislature Party meeting.
Adhikari is supposed to meet the Governor later today to make a formal request to form the government, while all leaders are expected to take an oath tomorrow morning. Some of the people attending the important session include Sunil Bansal, Amit Malviya, Biplab Deb, and Shankar Ghosh.
During his address, Amit Shah highlighted how victory was a result of the trust reposed in PM Modi and expressed gratitude towards the “321 god-like workers” who died during political clashes. “BJP rule today is from the Ganges to Gangasagar,” Amit Shah said, emphasizing that the new leaders should be humble.
