New Delhi: Congress interim chief Sonia Gandhi tests positive for COVID-19 once again, party MP and in-charge of Communication Jairam Ramesh tweeted.
“Congress President Smt. Sonia Gandhi has tested positive for Covid-19 today. She will remain in isolation as per Govt. protocol”- the tweet read.
It should be noted that this is the second time in a span of two months that Ms Gandhi has been infected. She had earlier tested positive in June and was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram hospital for treatment.
Earlier this week, several other party leaders including her daughter, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also tested positive. So far there is no news of the former party president being infected, however, he had cancelled his visit to Alwar citing illness.
