Bollywood: Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur starrer Sadak 2 has become the centre of a controversy even before its release . On Wednesday, the trailer of the film became the most-disliked video on YouTube so far in less than 24 hours, in the wake of nepotism debate.
The trailer of Sadak 2 has got 5.9 million dislikes which can cross even 6 million dislikes on the video sharing platform and with a highly unfavourable like-dislike ratio on YouTube. With more than 1.9 views, only 3.2 lakh people have liked the trailer of Sadak 2 on YouTube.
Since the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput on June 14, cries to boycott ‘nepotism’ have been louder than ever and their anger only intensified on Wednesday when a bulk of Sushant’s “fans” headed to YouTube to express their feelings towards director Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2.
The movie which stars Alia Bhatt, Pooja Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, and Aditya Roy Kapur has been heavily trolled ever since the first look was launched.
Mahesh Bhatt had earlier said in a message that he isn’t bothered about the fate of the film. He said “Today as we begin the last leg of our journey.I feel unshackled! I carry no burden, no weight. No reputation to hold on to. No mission to accomplish. Nothing to prove to anyone. If the film works it belongs to all of you. If it does not, it’s mine.”
Sadak 2 is a sequel to Mahesh Bhatt’s 1991 film starring Sanjay Dutt and Pooja and it will be released on Disney+ Hotstar on August 28.
