Probing of various aspects of the case have been completed, said Senior Superintendent of Police of Ayodhya, Gaurav Grover. The investigation team in charge of the alleged embezzlement of donations at the Ram temple, said that the probe has to be completed in 90 days and the charge sheet has to be filed by the end of the next month.

Pressing the reporters on Saturday, Grover said that the SIT and the police are conducting a joint investigation in the role of a high-level probe advisor. The chairman of SIT is Lucknow IGP Kiran S, who has five years of experience in the CBI, he added.

Officials further revealed that so far there has been no legal action on the accused identified in the alleged embezzlement of donations at the Ram temple. It said that previously the SIT had raised questions on the role of Anil Mishra, former member of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust.

As per the FIR registered on June 25th at Ram Janmabhoomi police station, Ayodhya, eight accused have been jailed, including the former Temple trust general secretary Champat Rai’s close aide Tinu Yadav, counting in-charge Subhash Srivastava, Ramashankar Mishra, Manish Yadav, Karunesh, Lavkush Mishra, Anukalp and Avinash Shukla. All eight have been taken into remand and interrogated.
