Singapore: Rajya Sabha MP and Former Samajwadi party leader Amar Singh died at 64 in Singapore where his treatment was going.

Amar Singh, 64, was currently undergoing treatment for kidney-related ailments for the past few months in Singapore hospital.

Earlier today, Amar Singh extended Eid greetings to his followers on Tiwtter and also paid tributes to freedom fighter Bal Gangadhar Tilak on his death anniversary.

Several political leaders mourned Amar Singh, remembering the stalwart leader and political alias.

Defence minister Rajnath Singh said that Amar Singh, who was known for his jovial nature, had a friendly association with all political parties.

Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh expressed grief over the demise of the MP and said “Just received the tragic news of the demise of Rajya Sabha MP Shri Amar Singh. May god give peace to his soul and strength to his family to bear the loss. My condolences are with him. Om Shanti”

“Sincere condolences to the family of Shri Amar Singh ji. I express my deepest condolences to his bereaved wife and daughters in this sad moment,” Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi tweeted.
