New Delhi: The defense ministers of various countries, including the defense Minister of Russia, will attend the conference, which will be held in India.
Sergei Shoghu, the Defence Minister of Russia, and the SCO counterparts, excluding Pakistan’s Khwaja Asif, will attend the meeting. Belarus and Iran have also been invited, but whether they’ll follow the meet is still being determined. Pakistan’s Defence Minister will be attending the meeting through video conferencing.
The meeting will be held on 27 and 28 April, and discussions will be made on mutual interests and bilateral defense decisions. India has been a part of the SCO since 2017, and this meeting in New Delhi will help deepen the country’s historical ties. The Government says it is the best way to promote regional interactions.
India has already done many such activities and taken initiatives to strengthen their bond with the SCO countries. This year, the Government took two defense-related actions to enhance the SCO bond.
