Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Somnath temple today. PM Modi is expected to participate in at least eight programs across the election-bound state from Saurashtra to Surat.
“Prayed at the Somnath Temple this morning. Har Har Mahadev!”, tweeted the Indian prime minister.
PM Modi is scheduled to address four rallies in Saurashtra region. Venues have been finalized at Veraval, Dhoraji, Amreli, and Botad. Incidentally, in the last assembly elections, the BJP could not win a single seat in Saurashtra.
Although BJP won the state elections, but could not breach this bastion traditionally voted for Congress. Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is expected to visit Navsari tomorrow, the same day when PM Modi will conduct rallies in Saurashtra, Bharuch, and Navsari.
