Ghaziabad: On Sunday,Eight people, including  6 women and a 16 year old boy were killed and 4 other people were injured in a candle manufacturing factory which is located in Ghaziabad’s Modi nagar, Due to massive fire that broke out.

Those 4 people injured in the accident have been admitted into different hospitals.

The fire broke out in the factory which is situated in the Modi Nagar in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad district at around 3pm and immediately police departments were informed and fire fighters were called at the spot.

It is reported that several workers were inside the factory when the fire broke out and it is still not confirmed if some are still trapped inside the factory, officials said. 

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed his heartfelt condolences on the death of the people in the incident of fire in a candle factory. CM Yogi also announced 4 lakh as financial assistance to the family members of those who were killed in the fire.

CM Yogi has collected a detailed report from the spot and directed DM and the SSP to collect other details which the CM’s office said on Sunday evening.
