Poonch: Indian army today released the name of soldiers who sacrificed their life in the Poonch Terror Attack. These soldiers were Havildar Mandeep Singh, lance naik Debashish Baswal, lance naik Kulwant Singh, sepoy Harkrishan Singh and Sepoy Sewak Singh as revealed in a tweet by Northern Command- Indian Army.
The army corps in Nagrota tweeted, “The Whitenight corps stand in solidarity with the bereaved families.” The photo of the attack victims was attached along with the Army’s Rashtriya Rifles Unit. After that, the army units were deployed for counter-operation in the area where the attack occurred.
The MLA of Sultanpur Lodhi, Rana Inder Partap Singh released a tweet expressing his emotion on the mishap.
On 20 April, a group of soldiers were attacked by some terrorists while they were travelling in a truck near Rajouri district. They were fired on by a group of terrorists, leading to five soldiers’ deaths. Since then, the army groups have been working to find the terrorists, but no clarity is available on who attacked the Indian army truck.
Therefore, the attackers are yet not identified, and they took advantage of low visibility in the area. The army informed us that their truck also caught on fire because of a grenade attack. Arvind Kejriwal also expressed shock over this tragic incident, saying cowards were behind this attack.
