India Post, which is also the largest postal network in the nation, has recently announced a major recruitment drive, which has approximately 44,228 vacancies for the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS). Individuals who want to register themselves and apply for the same can start applying from the official website (indiapostgdsonline.gov.in), which can be done from 15 July till 5 August.

The candidates which will be selected will be eligible for two positions, which are the Branch Postmasters (BPM) and Assistant Branch Postmasters (ABPM). The salary range of the ABPM in the India Post GDS is between the range of 10,000 to 24,470 INR per month. While in the case of BPM, it is between the range of 12,000 to 29,380 INR per month. It shall also be noted that these posts have been given out for the fiscal year 2024-25.

India Post GDS Eligibility

The candidates shall be eligible to apply for the post, and the eligibility criteria for the same is as follows-

  1. Candidate shall be above the age of 18 years and not more than 40 years.
  2. Candidate shall have a Class 10 certificate with English and Mathematics as the subjects included from any of the schools which have been recognised under the government boards.

  1. Visit the official website and complete the registration process.
  2. Now, the users will have to submit the application fees after filling up the registration process.
  3. Once the above-mentioned steps have been completed, candidates will be able to submit their form and wait for its approval.
