Amritsar: The Punjab police in a major achievement today killed two gangsters who were involved in the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala. In an encounter that broke out between the Anti Gangster Taskforce of the Punjab Police and the gangsters- Jagroop Singh Roopa and Manpreet Singh were killed, officials said. They added to have recovered an AK47 and a pistol from their possession.
Acting on a tip-off the Punjab police hunted down the two sharpshooters involved in the murder from Cheecha Bhakna village of Amritsar district on Wednesday. In the encounter, three police officials have also been injured sources said.
Promod Ban, ADGP Punjab said- “We were keeping track of the accused in the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case and our task force saw some movement in this area. We acted upon it. Our forensic team is at the spot for further investigation.”
As per reports, the forensics team has reached the spot to begin its investigation of the four-hour-long gun battle that took place between the forces and the accused.
