JAMMU: A 26-year-old Hindu doctor woman was found dead at her alleged boyfriends’ residence in Jammu. The incident took place on the eve of Holi.
Sumedha Sharma, the dentist was found dead with stab injuries on her abdomen. Similar wounds were also found on the body of her boyfriend Johar Ganai said police officers involved in the probe. Ganai stayed in Jammu’s Pamposh Colony.
The incident came to the fore after Ganai’s uncle approached the police after he saw a depressive post on the formers Facebook page. “I am committing suicide as I am fed up with my life”- the post read. Ganai, who is also a doctor, is in an ICU at present. Jammu SSP Chandan Kohli said an SIT is probing the case.
Meanwhile, the Bajrag Dal has named the murder an alleged ‘Love Jihad” and claims the woman was murdered by her Muslim boyfriend.
