New Delhi: A 30-year-old man was murdered by his father in North West Delhi’s Bharat Nagar on Sunday. Police have arrested the accused. According to police, on Sunday at 1.24 pm, they received information from the hospital regarding the admission of Paramjeet, a resident of Wazirpur, in an unconscious state. “On examination, the doctor declared him brought dead.
The body of the deceased was shifted to another hospital for autopsy.” the officer said. According to police, the deceased’s sister Rekha informed them that on Sunday morning when she came to her home, his brother Paramjeet was lying on the bed in injured condition. “He told her that on Saturday night his father had come home in an inebriated state and beaten him badly with a wooden stick,” an officer said. She further told police that his brother Paramjeet was paralysed for the past 14 years and was bedridden.
On Sunday she got her admitted to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. On her statement, a case under Section 302 (murder) IPC was registered at Bharat Nagar police station. “We have arrested the accused in the case from his residence in Wazirpur. Further investigation is in progress,’ deputy commissioner of police (north-west) Usha Rangnani said.
