A 35-year-old man, identified as Varun was beaten to death by a few miscreants in Ghaziabad last night. The incident as recorded by a passerby shows that Varun was lying on the ground and one of the miscreants smashed his head with a brick. He was rushed to a nearby hospital soon after but he breathed his last on the way. The incident occurred near an eatery in Ghaziabad on Tuesday night. The victim lived near the eatery and his father is an ex-policeman. He ran a dairy business near the eatery.
The eyewitnesses reveal that a fight broke out between the two parties regarding the parking of their cars near the eatery. When Varun and his friend parked their car, it was parked in such a way that there was no space left for the other parties’ car to open the door. This triggered an argument between them that soon took the shape of an altercation. Varun was accompanied by his friend Deepak. Both of them are seen to be assaulted by the occupants of the other car.
In the video that is surfacing online now, it is seen that after assaulting, one of the miscreants hit Varun’s head with a brick which led Varun to die on the way to the hospital. Investigations are on to find the culprits. A case has been lodged with the Ghaziabad police and 5 special teams are looking out for the accused. However, Varun’s family says that police are not making serious attempts in finding the culprit. And the law and order of the city have also been put into question after such a horrifying murder in public. Locals also complained about the selling of liquor in the roadside eateries that triggers such violence more often in the area.
