Madhya Pradesh: BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia and his mother, Madhavi Raje Scindia, have tested positive for COVID-19, and are admitted to Max Hospital at Saket in Delhi since Monday after they reportedly developed symptoms of COVID-19. Both of them complained of sore throat and fever.

The BJP nominated candidate’s report comes just days before polls to the Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh. 

Meanwhile, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has also developed fever and sore throat. Kejriwal underwent a coronavirus test on Tuesday morning. His test reports are being awaited now. Currently, Kejriwal is under self-isolation.

The list goes on to a number of senior politicians being tested positive for COVID-19. This includes Maharashtra state minister Ashok Chavan and Congress spokesperson Sanjay Jha. BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra was also admitted to hospital with COVID-19 symptoms. Uttarakhand Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj, his wife and 22 other family and staff members have also reportedly tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

In Madhya Pradesh, the number of coronavirus patients rose to 9,638 while 414 patients have died so far.
