India: As India continues to reel under the threat of novel coronavirus infection, the number of corona patients is increasing rapidly. Now the figure has reached 650. A new case of coronavirus has come in Bihar, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Mizoram and Uttar Pradesh on Thursday morning. The total number of COVID-19 patients in the country has surged to 649 on Thursday.

With Tamil Nadu witnessing its first coronavirus casualty, the death toll in the country has climbed to 13. Of the total cases, 603 are Indians and 47 are foreign nationals. Maharashtra is the worst affected state with more than 120 coronavirus positive cases. The financial capital of India witnessed three deaths related to COVID-19.

With five new patients from the national capital, the total number of coronavirus cases has climbed to 35 in Delhi whereas Kerala, which confirmed the first coronavirus case in India, has so far recorded 118 COVID-19 cases. There are 21 positive cases in Haryana which includes 14 foreign nationals.  Five people with no travel history tested positive in Indore, taking the total number of cases in Madhya Pradesh to 23.

With one foreigner case, Uttar pradesh has so far reported 38 positive cases whereas Telangana and Gujarat has registered 43 cases each.

Andra-pradesh, West Bengal and Jammu & Kashmir has reported 11 cases each whereas Bihar, Goa and Chhattisgarh has confirmed 6 cases each.

Puducherry, Manipur, Mizoram and Andaman and Nicobar Islands are at the least infected region with only one positive case registered.
