INDIA: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today extended the lockdown till May 3 and said any decision on easing restrictions in parts of the  country would be taken after April 20, to keep in mind the difficulties of the poor. Till April 20, each district, each state will be monitored closely to see whether the lockdown is being followed. then we can decide on relaxing the restrictions,” said the Prime Minister.

All the states will be monitored closely for the next 6 days and if the precautionary measures are taken care of then the government will ease on restrictions in those areas with no hotspots as per the guidelines issued.


While addressing the nation, “Some essential activities would be allowed in areas which showed improvement after April 20” he added. This is in view of the farmers, daily wagers and destitutes who entirely depend on the income earn on regular basis.
