Ranchi: This afternoon, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s plane faced a technical issue near Deoghar in Jharkhand. This will delay PM’s return to New Delhi because the plane will now have to stay at the city’s airport until the technical fault is fixed.
On the occasion of the anniversary of the tribal idol Birsa Munda, known as Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, and in advance of the state’s second round of voting for the Assembly elections on November 20, the prime minister addressed two rallies in Jharkhand today.
Rahul Gandhi’s helicopter was grounded for 45 minutes in Godda, Jharkhand, just 80 kilometers from Deoghar, as it was awaiting air traffic control clearance. The Congress said the delay was intentional to interfere with the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha’s campaign schedule.

The Congress had indicated that the PM’s rally at Deoghar was being given priority over Mr. Gandhi’s movements. The chopper was allowed to take off 45 minutes later. “Just because the PM is in Deogarh, Rahul Gandhi was not allowed to cross that area… There is the protocol we understand, but Congress ruled the country for 70 years, and such an incident never happened with any opposition leader… This is not acceptable,” MLA and Congress candidate from Mahagama Constituency Deepika Pandey Singh said.
The Congress alleged that this was a deliberate move by the ATC because PM Narendra Modi was addressing a rally in Chakai, which is around 150 km away from Godda.

Even before this, in his previous rallies, PM Modi has fiercely targeted Congress and Rahul Gandhi, in which he repeated his well-known taunt “Shahzada,” accusing Rahul Gandhi of “weakening” the people of SC, ST, and OBC communities and their reservations. Accused of conspiring to eliminate it. “The Congress has dangerous intentions. The Congress’ “shehzada” is conspiring to scrap reservations for SCs, STs, and OBCs. The prince’s father had declared reservation as slavery, bonded labor, but he was later defeated in elections. His father had issued advertisements to remove reservations… We will thwart any such conspiracy,” PM Modi said.
Additionally, he asserted that the ruling JMM, which is allied with the Congress, was helping “infiltrators” in obtaining permanent residence in Jharkhand. This accusation was made by several other BJP politicians, including Home Minister Amit Shah.
