Ayodhya: On Friday, Uttar Pradesh Chief minister Yogi Adityanath urged to the people of the state to witness the grandeur bhoomi poojan(foundation event for the ram temple in Ayodhya by staying in their homes and avoid any gathering in the temple as the country continues to battle against the coronavirus outbreak.
After a priest and 14 security men in Ram Temple tested positive for coronavirus on Thursday. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister requested to the people to stay indoors for the ceremony of bhoomi poojan in Ram Temple and appealed them not to flout coronavirus safety guidelines in Uttar Pradesh.
Earlier, on Thursday, Yogi Aditynath instructed the Uttar Pradesh police to remain on high alert ahead of the bhoomi pujan event on August 5 for the Ram Temple construction.
In a meeting with top security officials, Adityanath instructed them to keep a close watch on any ‘anti-social elements’, and prevent them from creating a law & order situation.
Notably, Yogi aditiyanath will visit Ayodhya on Saturday to inspect the situation ahead of the grant event.
The most historic religious event is all set to be held on August 5 when Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with other noted dignitaries, will attend the ‘bhoomi pujan’ for the ‘bhavya’ Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. However, the Organizing committee has limited the attendees to under 200 keeping in mind the current situation of the coronavirus pandemic and the rising cases in Uttar Pradesh.
