On Tuesday, the Union Home Minister Amit Shah accused Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik of allying with the Tamil Nadu CM and planning to impose a Tamil CM on Odisha. In one of the public rallies held at Chandbali in Bhadrak district, Shah passed menacing comments against Tamil Nadu-born former bureaucrat and Patnaik’s close associate, VK Pandian. The flames of utter discontent burned with these words today as he said, “The people of Odisha laid down their lives and fought bravely against Samrat Ashoka. But today, Naveen babu aspires to impose a Tamil CM on the people! People may bear Naveen Babu, but they cannot stomach this Tamil babu in your name!”
Shah verbally assaulted the Odisha government by asking why it should be headed by a minister-in-charge elected by the people when a powerful leader like Pandian is ready to helm the state’s government. “Here, voting is for Odisha Asmita (pride) Let a Tamil Babu rule the government from behind the scenes a Jan sevak will govern if people opt for BJP,” he stated.
Shah also accused Pandian of editing the video and denying the people of Odisha from participating in the grand Ram Mandir Utsav of Ayodhya. He wanted to know from the crowd whether the people of Bhadrak would allow any mishandling of Lord Jagannath or all the temple gates to be opened and properly functional like a traditional temple.
Urging concern from Naveen Patnaik, pointing towards the keys of Ratna Bhandar of Shree Jagannath temple in Puri, Shah required warrants. “The duplicate keys were prepared and Naveen Babu should explain why and why the inquiry report is not public whom is the BJD government trying to protect give BJP the power, we will put it out in the public domain within a month,” said Amit Shah.
