According to sources, Aaftab Poonawala murder accuse in the Shraddha Walker case, showed psycho and sociopathic tendencies during the polygraph tests performed four years ago.
Sources in the know, revealed that the Eysenck personality inventory traits marked by emotional detachment, lack of empathy, and manipulative behavior. The Eysenck personality inventory measures two pervasive and independent dimensions of personality called extraversion-introversion and neuroticism stability. Picture frustration test is another method which is performed to check how a person handles everyday stress and aggression.
During the assessment, sources added that he did not show any remorse for the crime that he had executed. His main concern remained ‘self-preservation’ and he looked ways on how he could save himself from the legal consequences.
The lawyer representing walker’s family on July 11 alleged the defense has been deliberately delaying the trial due to which they will go to the Delhi High Court for speedy hearing. The remarks stemmed from a rescheduling of the 20th July hearing because Poonawala was scheduled to appear for his MA Socilogy examination at IGNOU centre in Tihar jail on the same day.
“The trial has already faced delays. The court had previously fixed hearings from July 20 to July 27. However, Aftab Amin Poonawala’s side filed an application stating he had an exam on July 20, following which the court cancelled that date. We were not given an alternative date,” the lawyer said. According to lawyer Seema Samridhi Kushwaha, the delay has prevented the family from performing her last rites since the body parts ‘constitute the case property’ which cannot be released until the trial ends.
Shraddha Walker was killed by her live in partner Aaftab Poonawala in May 2022, her mother died in 2020 while her father deeply troubled by his daughter’s death passed away last year. Walker is left behind with a brother who looks after the legalities of the case.
