Rajouri: In a major success for the security forces, two terrorists were neutralized in separate encounters in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla and Rajouri districts on Saturday. While details on the Rajouri operation are still awaited, the Baramulla encounter saw the elimination of a terrorist with links to the notorious terror outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba.
According to Kashmir police, the encounter in the Kunzar area of Baramulla is still underway, with two to three terrorists trapped. The joint operation by the Army and J&K police was launched based on credible inputs, marking yet another successful operation in the fight against terrorism in the region.
The Indian Army’s Northern Command is leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of justice. After a group of terrorists ambushed an Army truck in the Tota Gali area of Bhata Dhurian in Jammu last month, relentless intelligence-based operations have been underway to flush them out.
With more teams joining ‘Operation Trinetra’ in Rajouri, the search has intensified using helicopters and drones. The Army is determined to bring these terrorists justice and ensure the region’s safety.
